Human emotions
Maybe that’s where they went,
in the space between
the words you would not write
and ones I would not read.
Maybe they’ll be found there,
some far-off civilization
uncovering weakness we hid,
claiming its beauty for themselves. -
odds and ends
“A way to discard unwanted odds and ends, so that you may focus on the parts of yourself that matter.”
That’s how my grandmother described the old wooden chest back when she left it in my care. -
Mirama Dev Blog #1 (October 2022)
Welcome to a very special edition of the Mirama Dev Blogs! Yes, a special one indeed, as it’s the very first! I don’t know if it’s better to wish for a long-lasting series or not, considering it would conclude with the game’s release… In any case, we better make a good first impression!
Ahem…
These are going to be fairly informal affairs. I’m aiming for a new blog every two-to-three months. That should be a good way to follow the game’s progress, frequent enough that it won’t turn into a wall of text, but with enough time to have something fun to talk about every time! That’s the hope, at least. -
Vol II Finale: What Remains
Dear friend,
This letter must come as a surprise to you. We both know I have never been great at writing them. I have never been great at keeping touch in general.
I’m sorry. Heavens, I’m so sorry. -
Vol II: The Suburbs We Make Ourselves
“Attention all Hilbert Hotel guests and employees. We request your presence at Conference Room #2. Please head there at your earliest convenience.”
-
Vol II: The Wish Forms
The letter came in an unassuming envelope. Plain white, garnished with plain black lettering. No flourishes were necessary; a letter from the Ministry of Certification needs no introduction.

Vol II: Fleur-De-Lys
On a hot midsummer day
A traveler discovers
A most unique sight indeed
Some dozen men, and their huts
Surround a field of flowers -
The Scene
Fourth and final short story written over the course of December 2021. This one, called The Scene, is about family. Rev up your engines!
-
The Thread
Third of four short stories written over the course of December 2021. This one, called The Thread, kind of is about the holiday spirit. How fitting!
-
The Card
Second of four short stories written over the course of December 2021. This one, called The Card, is going for a… modern economics-themed fable? Not sure what I’d call it.
-
The Cube
First of four short stories written over the course of December 2021. This one, called The Cube, is going for a spooky isolated sci-fi vibe.

Hello world
What’s this? I’m making a new blog, in the year of our lord 2021? Well, that’s not really going to be the main focus on Marée Haute.
I mainly wanted a reliable place to host the different things I make online, since I was being kind of all over the place. With this, I get to focus on my GitHub presence, and have a pretty convenient page to visit all my projects as a result. Nifty!
